About Lakeland's Business Practice Firm

iGotcha is the simulated business that is organized and operated by Lakeland Regional High School's Business Practice Firm. Business Practice Firm is meant to prepare students for the real world working environment. iGotcha is part of the Center for Simulated Business Services Network based in Mercer County Community College.

Students are involved in all aspects of running the business. They are assigned to work in different departments including human resources, accounting, web design, and marketing and sales. The class selects a Chief Operating Officer and brand managers who oversee each department. Students are given the responsibility to run day-to-day business operations with the guidance of a teacher.

In addition, the Lakeland Regional High School Business Practice Firm created their product that they believed would sell among a target market, high school students. It was decided that iPhone, iPod, and iPod cases and accessories would sell among the target market and have the best chance of success. With this came iGotcha.
